Essentia Product Manager - Meat Sector

Essentia Protein Solutions is a global producer of premium ingredients for human consumption. With a strong commitment to customer centricity, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Product Manager to help us strengthen our offerings to customers in the meat sector.


As a Product Manager for selected ingredient groups within the meat sector, you will assume an essential role in facilitating seamless collaboration between customer demands and our entire supply chain. We need someone proactive and self-motivated who can easily connect with others across the organization.


This presents a unique opportunity for a professional who is familiar with ingredients and/or the meat industry to make a significant impact on the daily business operations and future developments for this specialized sector. Our new Product Manager will take the lead on business activities related specifically to our collagen-based functional protein solutions that are used by meat processors to elevate the texture and profitability of meat products.


In close collaboration with the sales team, you will continue to ensure that our customers consistently enjoy a value-driven experience while collaborating with Essentia. You will report to our Senior Sales Director Søren Sloth Møller and are expected to be located at our Danish office in Gråsten.

Primary tasks

Our Product Manager will be the primary point of contact for all matters concerning the meat sector range. Success will be measured by the ability to effectively support and inspire the sales organization in expanding into both new and existing markets.

  • Responsible for the product creation process in close cooperation with the functional areas
  • Support sales managers in resolving special customer enquiries related to regulatory, local legislation, product availability, customization, documentation, etc.
  • Conduct market analyses for new and existing markets
  • Give presentations at customer meetings
  • Communicate news/changes about the ingredient range to all relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Support sales and management with pricing and budgeting
  • Research, report and monitor price developments, and data about selected commodity markets and competitors
  • Engage in the collaborative planning and execution of customer seminars in conjunction with Sales and Applications
  • Train internal and external stakeholders in the application of our products
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create and coordinate promotional materials and events

Personal profile

This role welcomes candidates who can excel as either a technically skilled specialist with commercial experience or as a sales or marketing professional with profound technical knowledge. Mastery of both commercial and technical skills is a key requirement for success in this position.

  • Proven experience in product management or from a sales support function, preferably within the ingredients or meat industry
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand market trends and pricing dynamics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinking with a customer-centric mindset
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) and possibly German
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
