Maternity cover // Sustainability Project Manager
To continue our successful journey towards operating and growing our business more sustainably, we are looking for maternity cover for our Sustainability Project Manager who can drive progress across our ESG agenda.
Essentia Protein Solutions develops high-quality protein, collagen, and taste solutions for the global food, nutrition, and pet food industries. By upcycling animal byproducts into valuable functional ingredients, we help maximize the utilization of natural resources and support a more circular food system.
Our Sustainability Project Manager serves as the link between external consultants, our production sites, and other key functions. During the maternity cover period, the primary focus will be on ensuring progress in data collection, reporting, and internal and external coordination.
The position can be based in Gråsten, Hobro, or from a home office. It is a full-time position, alternatively 30 hours per week. The employment is for a fixed term from September 2026 to August 2027.
Primary tasks
In this role the typical responsibilities will be to:
- coordinate the collection, validation, and reporting of ESG data from the company's production sites.
- serve as the primary contact for external advisors and consultants within carbon accounting, life cycle assessments (LCA), deforestation, animal welfare, and other ESG-related areas.
- maintain an overview of relevant EU directives, standards, and sustainability legislation, and support their implementation across the organization.
- support the sales organization with sustainability data, documentation, and responses to customer-specific requests.
- act as the key sustainability contact for site management, accounting, and local stakeholders in connection with the collection of environmental and sustainability data.
- contribute to the preparation of the company's sustainability reporting and other external documentation.
- ensure project progress through effective project management, follow-up, and stakeholder coordination.
Personal profile
Your educational background is not the deciding factor. Experience with project management in an international company is a clear advantage. Furthermore, we expect that you:
- project management skills with the ability to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously
- detail-oriented with a structured and analytical approach
- comfortable working with data and numbers, with a high degree of accuracy
- experience with ESG reporting, sustainability, or related disciplines is an advantage
- strong written and spoken English skills
- self-driven with the ability to work independently
- skilled user of MS PowerPoint
Recent graduates with a relevant university degree are also encouraged to apply.
