The application department is responsible for idea generation in collaboration with our customers, providing support to marketing with new trends, technical backup for sales and customers, and hosting seminars.
In the application department, we work with all of Essentia's segments within savory, meat, nutrition, and petfood. We are a team handling diverse tasks, resulting in a very versatile workday. You'll become part of a team of 9 employees, 5 in Denmark and 4 in Spain, reporting to the Head of Application & Technical Services.
Primary tasks
You'll have a broad scope of responsibility, handling tasks related to the development and documentation of new methods and applications, as well as maintaining and updating existing applications within the meat segment. Additionally, you'll:
- Support the sales department
- Conduct and document various tests and analyses
- Support innovative initiatives
- Document trial results
- Support and conduct customer seminarsManage procurement and disposition of raw materials and ingredients
- Expect some travel activity
Personal profile
You have a background and experience in the meat industry, preferably with education as a butcher, gourmet butcher, or sausage maker - supplemented with a degree in Food Technology or similar. Currently, you might be working as a developer in a similar production company. It's expected that you:
- Are a team player with a positive mindset
- Have good communication skills - both orally and in writing in Danish and English - and preferably German
- Are proactive, service-minded, and outgoing
- Are structured and meticulous
- Enjoy a fast-paced environment and are resilient
- Have good skills in Word, Excel, and SharePoint would be preferred
- Have the ability to formulate new recipes, and it comes naturally to you
